Donation Questions

Capital funding or general funding?

Donating to our Capital Fund will enable the long-term sustainability of Butterfly so that we can provide assistance and support to future Australians suffering from eating disorders and negative body image. 

Donating to our General Fundraising meets the immediate needs of our programs and services. 

Is my donation tax deductible?

Butterfly is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) with Item 1 status and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and is a registered charity under the provisions of the Charitable Fundraising Act (NSW) 1991 – CF no. 18393. Therefore, all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

How will I know how Butterfly has used my donation?

When will I receive my tax receipt?

A tax receipt will be posted or emailed within the week of making your donation. For online donations, an order notification will be emailed immediately after a donation is made, and then a tax receipt will be emailed within the week.
