General Donation

You can bring HOPE to those suffering from an eating disorder today. Your donation allows us to fund vital programs and services. THANK YOU!

Start by selecting an amount to donate as a general donation, however you may also like to give to one of the other more specific funds within Butterfly.

It is estimated that there are 1 million people in Australia suffering from eating disorders yet only 25% are receiving treatment. The suicide rate for eating disorders is the highest of all mental illnesses.

Funding for treatment, prevention and research is critically low leading to many gaps in service provision that lead to potential loss of life.

Butterfly provides services that fill these gaps - your financial support enables us to keep our life saving services and programs open.

Your donation will allow us to do the following things.

$20

Could assist with the facilitation of a support group for someone experiencing an eating disorder or a carer

$50

Could help Butterfly run an online support group for sufferers and carers in rural and remote areas

$100

Could enable the loved ones of an eating disorder sufferer the opportunity to attend a Butterfly family counselling session

$300

Could provide a local school with a workshop on positive body image and self- esteem for 30 of their students

$500

Could provide a course of face-to-face counselling for someone experiencing an eating disorder

$1,000

Could train health workers and doctors within a local community in the identification and treatment of people with eating disorders
