Workshops for Parents

Book now

Butterfly offer presentations for parents on body image to answer the following questions;

  • What is body image?
  • Why is developing a healthy body image important?
  • What can I do to help my child?
  • How can I be a good role model?

Having a healthy body image is a strong protective factor against dieting behaviour with the potential to lead to disordered eating or a diagnosed eating disorder. Workshops aim to empower parents so that they feel better equipped to help their child develop and maintain body confidence through their child and adolescent years.

Whether you’re a parent of primary or secondary aged children, these workshops are an invaluable resource.

If you would like to book a parent presentation contact Helen Bird on 02 8456 or helen.bird@thebutterflyfoundation.org.au

Alternatively, see our dates for parent presentations in rural Victoria.
