Eating Disorders Foundation of VIC
The Eating Disorders Foundation of Victoria is a non-profit organisation which aims to support those affected by eating disorders and to better inform the community about disordered eating. Originally the Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa Fellowship and then the Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa Foundation of Victoria, the Foundation was established in the early 1980s by health professionals who recognised the need for information and support related to eating disorders. The EDFV helpline operates from Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm.

The Oak House
The Oak House is a private outpatient facility specialising in recovery programs for sufferers and their families whose lives are affected by Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or disordered eating, including obesity and childhood obesity.
Contact Margo for a free initial consultation to determine the suitability of the Oak House treatment programs. Following, a thorough assessment is conducted by professionally qualified practitioners prior to treatment commencing.
Treatment options include:
- Our adolescent program utilizes the highly successful Family-Based Treatment (Maudsley Model) that typically achieves 75% - 80% recovery in about 12 months, and includes a Parent Network Group for education and support.
- Out adult program is an individually tailored recovery program designed to meet a client's current therapeutic needs through intensive individual psychological and dietetic counselling, and group-therapy programs. Other components that may be incorporated are family therapy, family support and education, and the Parent/Partner Network Group.
The Oak House also offers Clinical Supervision for health practitioners and workshop training in the Family-Based Treatment (Maudsley Model).
The Oak House is a home where individuals are accepted, understood and nurtured through recovery. We walk beside our clients in the re-discovery of the self beyond eating issues.

Mindful Eating Group - The Oak House
Recovery Is Possible For Everyone (RIPE)
A group for people experiencing one or more of the following:
- If you regularly binge eat, feel out of control, guilty or ashamed about bingeing; and
- If you use measures such as vomiting, fasting, diet pills, laxatives or excessive exercise to compensate for the food you eat after binges.

The Eating Disorders Association of South Australia (EDAsa) is a not for profit community organisation established in 1983 with the aim of providing information and support to people with eating disorders, their friends and families as well as to better inform the community of the effects of these conditions. Today, EDAsa continues to respond to the needs of the community including individuals experiencing eating disorders, their parents, partners and supporters.
